Module Code: ECMM159
Module Lecturer(s): Dr Ki Young Koo
To check a person’s health, humankind has developed numerous ways of measuring techniques and devices including old techniques such as blood pressure measuring and stethoscope, and advanced ones such as MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging). In structural engineering, developing ways of checking structural health and performance is one of most important challenges to prevent structural collapses and to save human lives and eventually to achieve cost effective maintenance of civil infrastructures.
This module introduces the state of art technologies for building a structural health and performance monitoring system and discusses how to use the system to improve decision-making.
Bookings are limited to one person per module. If you require multiple bookings please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
