Module Code: ECMM132
Module Lecturer(s): Prof Slobodan Djordjevic
With problems such as pollutants from urban areas washing into rivers, the issues of water quality, flooding and sustainable drainage have become increasingly important.
This module covers the engineering and environmental aspects of the drainage of rainwater and wastewater from areas of human development. The content includes basic principles and engineering best practice, with the latter being mainly (but not exclusively) based on UK practice. You will consider the relevant aspects of urban drainage, such as design, analysis, modelling, operation and maintenance, including health and safety issues, system rehabilitation, flooding and sustainable water management. The module combines standard materials with current developments and recent literature and research outputs by the Centre for Water Systems.
Bookings are limited to one person per module. If you require multiple bookings please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
