Emergency First Aid at Work Course: Sunday 24th September, 2017 at University of Exeter (St. Luke’s Campus) in Baring Court BC03.
This qualification is for those who may be appointed as the first aider in the work place or whose work may involve responsibility for caring for others. At the end of the course, students will be able to assess priorities of injury, manage an unconscious casualty, carry out resuscitation, deal with choking, control bleeding and manage shock. Students should bring notepaper, clip board and black/blue pens to fill in forms and take course notes. Dress is casual clothes but suitable for carrying out practical work such as turning a person from front to back, onto side etc. Successful students will receive a Certificate in ‘Emergency First Aid at Work’. It is recommended that the certificate be renewed every three (3) years and training takes place at least once a year. The cost of the course is £40.00, an exceptional value for a course that would normally cost between £80.00 and £100.00.
