DescriptionThe 9th International Art in Early Childhood Conference: Nature & Nurture will be held at the University of Exeter (St Luke’s Campus) from 21-23 June 2023.The conference theme of nature and nurture concerns sustainability from ecological and social angles in art education for children aged 0-7 years. Presentations and workshop will address one or both of these considerations:Nature: How can art connect young children to the natural world?Nurture: How can art connect young children to others?This exciting event is being held in partnership with the Association for Art in Early Childhood, the (UK) National Society for Education in Art and Design (NSEAD), and the International Society for Education Through Art (InSEA).The conference is suitable for researchers/ academics, teachers/ practitioners, and artists/ artist-educators with an interest in early years art education – this includes students.Early bird registration deadline: 24 February 2023Full delegate registration deadline: 21 April 2023Day delegate registration deadline: 26 May 2023Concessions are available (see packages).
