DescriptionCourse Dates - delivered virtually over 6 half days from 12:30-16:30: Tuesday 7th October Thursday 9th October Tuesday 14th October Thursday 16th October Tuesday 21st October Thursday 23rd October The University of Exeter is a leader in public health research and education. Our flagship CPD course, led by Dr Bharat Pankhania alongside renowned guest speakers, tackles key concepts in health protection, addressing local, national and global challenges. The importance of Communicable Disease Control expertise and collaborative working, with an emphasis on prevention being the best way forward. The course will give participants a grounding in the core principles of health protection and is a useful building block towards achieving competency in health protection on call. The content will cover all the Faculty of Public Health competencies, including part of the syllabus for the DFPH (Diplomate exam) and will serve as a refresher and a primer for new practitioners (Consultant to Health Protection Practitioners). Whis is the course for? It is useful for those already working in or considering working in public health, health protection, infection control, environmental health, infections with an animal and human interface, and primary care. Accreditation CPD points applied for through The Royal College of Physicians.
