Visit English Heritage site Stonehenge and its visitor centre. And visit the historic nearby town of Salisbury on this trip
Detailed Description
We will be visiting Stonehenge and its site from 12:30 - 15:00 and then leaving on the coach to visit Sailisbury until 17:00 with a aim to return to campus for 19:00.
The second coach is required by English Heritage policy to arrive 30 minutes after the first coach. If you know someone who has a ticket for the second or first bus you will be still able to meet up at the site 30 minutes later.
You will need to show your booking information to staff before getting onto the coach to leave, this is to ensure that all students are on the correct coach.
You will be provided with some information for Stonehenge and the site ahead of the visit and by handout on the coach.
When we leave Stonehenge we will provide you with a handout of ideas for places in Salisbury you may wish to visit, but you are free to use your time there as you please. There are a number of places to get food and historic sights to see such as the Cathedral. The mentors will be going to the locations on the handout and you are welcome to go with them if you prefer.
This trip is intended for students whos accommodation is allocated through the University Accommodation office only. Any tickets purchased by students not in these accommodations will be refunded before the event and cancelled.
