ABOUT CERTIFIED COPIES

To have your award documents certified, please send us clear scanned copies of award documents. Our staff will check these for authenticity, and stamp and sign your documents. These certified copies are then emailed back to you. Certified copy requests may take up to 3 working weeks to be completed, excluding delivery time.

Please note that we do not hold copies of your certificate and transcript, so you must be able to provide us with a scanned copy for certification. If you no longer hold your original documents, you will need to purchase replacements before we are able to certify them for you. If we do not receive the scanned copies of your documents after 10 working days, we will cancel and refund your order. There is a £12 fee per request for all certification of documents. Please note that you must order 1 certified copy for every document you wish to be certified. For instance, if you would like to have both your transcript and certificate certified, you would need to order 2 certified copies- one for the transcript and one for the certificate.  

 By default, certified copies are sent as PDFs by email. You can provide up to 5 email addresses per order. If you require documents to be emailed to more than 5 recipients you will need to make another purchase. You can also opt to have a hard copy of the certified scan posted to you in addition to receiving the Pdf version over email. Please see your postage options below.  If your order is being posted overseas, we strongly recommend that you add  DHL delivery.

Please note that at during certain periods of peak activity (e.g. registration in September/October and graduation in July and December), you may experience some delay in this regard.

Once you have completed your online payment, please email scanned colour copies of your certificate and/or transcript along with any relevant information (e.g. application reference number) to [email protected] including your “EXE” Online Store reference number in the message.

Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee the verification of documents awarded prior to 2000 due to limitations with the records we hold. We will deal with these on a case-by-case basis, and we provide a refund where necessary.

Please complete the order form with as much detail as possible. We will only contact you should we require further information or encounter a problem completing the order.

If you require your documents to be sent to a third party, please confirm this clearly in your order and provide us with up to 5 email addresses along with any reference or application numbers required. This means that we can send them the completed verification directly from a university email address which will add to the authenticity of the certification.

FREE DIGITAL ALTERNATIVES TO CERTIFIED COPIES

Before proceeding with a certified copy order have you explored the free digital methods for sharing your award documents directly with third parties? Digital sharing is fast, secure and the recommended way to share your award documents.

Digital certificate and transcript: if you were awarded from Summer 2021 onwards you will have digital versions of your award documents which are free to access and share  directly with third parties via the portal.

HEAR report Graduates from 2014 – present also have access to their HEAR enhanced electronic transcript. Guidance for sharing your HEAR with employers or institutions can be found here.
