Detailed Description
Musa, or banana plants, make excellent tropical houseplants that will benefit from being put outside in the garden during the summer but will need to be indoors when the weather is colder.
They are quite hungry and thirsty when in active growth but need to be kept on the drier side in the winter.
They can be planted out into the garden in summer if you like but will need to be lifted in autumn and brought back inside.
They will produce off shoots at the base of the plants that can be split off when they reach a good size to propagate from.
These banana plants are around 12 inches tall.
