DescriptionIntroduction to Shame Competence delivered over a 2 hour online Module 24th June 15:00-17:00 (UK) Training Overview Introduction to Shame Competence is a concise and impactful 2-hour training webinar designed to help professionals and practitioners understand how shame might be affecting the successful delivery services in trauma-informed practice and frontline professions. Shame experienced in encounters with professionals, such as healthcare workers, police, educators, social workers and other care professionals, can lead to withdrawal, avoidance, inaccurate disclosures and other forms of disengagement. Shame also impacts professionals, and evidence shows that shame is related to burnout, stress and trauma. The Introduction to Shame Competence 2-hour online training will help individuals and organisations begin to understand how shame is produced and experienced as a result of particular interactions, experiences, policies and practice. The training will enhance organisational and individual emotional intelligence, leading to better outcomes for services users and professionals. Cancellation Policy If you need to cancel your attendance for any reason, the training fee is fully refundable provided that cancellation is made at least 14 days prior to the training date. Cancellations made within 14 days of the training are non-refundable; however, the fee may be transferred to a future training session.
